Robert van der Noordaa

Robert is a Dutch engineer and analyst who lived for years in different countries in Eastern Europe, which aroused his interest in studying and analyzing (Russian) hybrid warfare, propaganda, disinfo and trolls.

After finishing his post-academic journalism studies at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam he started developing ways to detect trolls and disinfo campaigns on social media.

In 2019 with Richard Odekerken Robert founded the software company Trollrensics. Trollrensics develops artificial intelligence and software to detect and analyze troll armies, organized campaigns and propaganda on social media. The software is very suitable to detect election influencing(FIMI). Trollrensics executed election influencing projects for the European Union (Socialists & Democrats group), government of India, Dutch authorities etc. Trollrensics software is used by different European government agencies to analyze social media channels.

Robert’s (Trollrensics) work has been published by a wide variety of newspapers, thinktanks and media such as the Guardian, Der Spiegel, Integrity Initiative, Atlantic Council, Bellingcat, Wall Street Journal, The Daily Beast and many others.
