Ismar Milak

Ismar Milak is a Project Coordinator at the CSO Why Not (Zašto ne) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he coordinates projects focused on combating disinformation. His expertise spans project development and coordination, media analysis, team leadership, and the organization of trainings, workshops, and conferences. Before joining Why Not in 2022, he worked with the Office of the High Representative (OHR) on initiatives to strengthen state security institutions and the rule of law, as well as with UN agencies where he coordinated migration-related projects. Over his 25-year career, Ismar has collaborated with numerous international networks and diplomatic institutions accredited in Bosnia and Herzegovina. With a degree in communication studies, he combines his experience in diplomacy, international cooperation, and civil society work to promote transparency, accountability, and informed public dialogue in BiH.
