Despina Kovačevska serves as Media Monitoring Specialist within the team of Metamorphosis Foundation for Internet and Society from Skopje, North Macedonia.

Her work focuses on analyzing media content for disinformation, harmful narratives and hate speech with a special focus on the Western Balkan countries.
Her background encompasses work in the area of education of children with special needs and inclusion of students with disabilities in the Erasmus program. Despina started her career working on developing the capacities of marginalized communities with support the Helsinki Committee. A part of her subsequent work within the project Support to Electoral Reforms in North Macedonia of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), she specialized in monitoring. After that, as a researcher she was a member of a team conducting national level surveys and data analysis.
